Flighty – Live Flight Tracker
A flight tracker with an honest use for each screen size: the gate number on the small one, the whole trip on the large one.
Free · 4.79 from 19,284 ratings · iOS 18.0 or later · updated 26 October 2026
Flighty sells speed. The developer states that its delay alerts arrive 2 to 90 minutes ahead of the airline's own and its cancellation alerts 24 to 48 hours ahead, and credits commercial data feeds including the FAA and Eurocontrol. Those are the developer's figures, published on the listing. Nobody here has timed them.
The rest of the app is built for the hour before the hour you need the alert. Twenty-five hours of history on the aircraft that is due to operate your flight. Delay and gate predictions, airport status in plain language, taxi times, ground and proximity radar, calendar and TripIt sync, email forwarding for confirmations, and private sharing with whoever is collecting you. It keeps a map of everywhere you have flown.
The listing says no account is required and there are no ads. It won an Apple Design Award and was a finalist for App of the Year.
What the fold changes
This is the entry that argues for the folded screen as much as the unfolded one. Standing under a departure board, the question is a gate and a delay, and that is a one-handed, 5.4-inch question. Working out whether a connection survives is a map, a timeline and a run of checkpoints, and that is not.
That is an argument rather than a test. The iPhone Duo has been on sale since 23 October 2026 and this app has not been seen running on one.
