LumaFusion is the serious end of editing on a phone, and its listing reads that way. A track-based, magnetic timeline with transitions, markers and notes. Voiceover recorded while the film plays. Preview on an external monitor. On the grade: chroma keys, a stabiliser, waveform, vector and histogram scopes, imported .cube and .3dl LUTs, and keyframes without a cap.
The audio side is the part that is genuinely unusual for a mobile editor. Graphic and parametric EQ, voice isolation, keyframed levels and panning, dual-mono support for the interview you recorded on two microphones, ducking, and third-party audio plug-ins. Most phone editors treat sound as something that arrives attached to the picture.
It will also edit from Photos, from Frame.io, and straight off a USB-C drive. That last one matters far more on a phone than on a desk, where nobody expected the footage to be on the machine anyway. The App Store made it App of the Year in 2021, and it holds an Editors' Choice award; both are stated on the listing.
What the fold changes
Everything else in an editor can be stacked, collapsed or hidden behind a tab. A timeline cannot: it is a picture of time, and time runs left to right. The listing describes six video or graphic tracks plus six audio tracks, and that stack on a folded phone is a scrollbar with ambitions. The unfolded screen is where it becomes something you can read at a glance.
That is an argument rather than a test. The iPhone Duo has been on sale since 23 October 2026 and this app has not been seen running on one.
